On a November day in 2013 a little boy was born. Two days later, I received the news I had been chosen to be his mom and was about to begin the journey of a life time. It is thanks to NDSAN that a young lady in northwest Iowa got connected with a handsome baby boy in Tampa, FL. Named after his great-grandfathers, CJ brightens the lives of those around him.
He has over-come respiratory concerns that led him to aspirate when eating by mouth. After being feed by feeding tube (NG, PEG, GJ and G tubes) for the first several months of his life, CJ now eats and drinks everything he can get his hands on by mouth. He continues to get stronger every day and has overcome major sleep apnea concerns 
CJ has reminded me how to love all those I meet, and laugh through life. CJ is "Mr. Social" and loves taking part in Stomp and Shout at Lamb Theater, playing baseball at our local Miracle League field and dancing any chance he gets!
